Science Fair exhibits in the WHS Library 2012

Just before the holidays, the Windsor Junior Senior High School Science Fair took place on December 19th, 2012.  Some of the exhibits utilized the library and the rotunda.  This is an exciting, popular and interesting annual event coordinated by math teacher, Jennifer Townsend and her science/math colleagues in the high school and junior high.

Your Vote is Your Voice @ WHS!

Windsor Jr/Sr High School will hold a mock presidential election on Monday, Nov. 5th, 2012. The Student Council added referendum questions and all students in grades 7-12 are being encouraged to vote.  Balloting protocols will be those used in our national elections.

The WHS library turkeys are "dressed" for the mock (as well as real) election!

Mr. Spencer, WHS Civics teacher, urges all grade 7-12 students to vote in the mock election

Monday, October 29th, 2012 is Breast Cancer Awareness Day @ Windsor Jr/Sr High School---wear pink!

In late September 2012, Windsor Jr/Sr High held its annual Open House.  Parents of high school students rotated among three curricular groupings while those of junior high students met in one classroom.  The Math & Science division welcomed parents in the library
Mrs. Townsend, math teacher, provided the introduction.
In early October 2012,  TESTING seemed to be the focus of several days for a few grade levels!  Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) and the New England Common Assessment Program (NECAP) were administered in the library for some 8th, 9th and 11th grade students.  At least those students who were testing received a reprieve from any homework during test days!
